About Christi
As a freelance editor, author, and consultant in the Christian publishing industry for seventeen years, I’ve partnered with authors to help them polish their manuscripts and navigate the path to publishing through my company, CM Creative Consulting LLC.
I’ve worked with many notable authors in the manuscript process, including a New York Times bestselling author, and have also worked with several commercial publishers, including LifeWay Christian Resources, Rainer Publishing, and Guideposts. I enjoy working with authors at all levels and provide a full range of services.
Christian Editor Network
In 2016, I began Christian Editor Network LLC (CEN), with my two business partners, Jenne Acevedo and Kathy Ide. CEN equips and empowers Christian editors and is the parent company to four organizations. I am the director for two of those organizations: the Christian Editor Connection, which connects writers with freelance editors, and The PEN Institute, which is an online educational institute for Christian editors. I am also a member of the Editorial Freelance Association and the American Copy Editors Society, and am on faculty for Mount Hermon Christian Writers Conference and PENCON, the only annual conference for Christian editors in the industry.
Throughout each year, I enjoy teaching courses for The PEN Institute, including Establishing Your Freelance Business, Freelance Editing 101, and Editing Nonfiction Book Proposals.
As a freelance writer, I have published a variety of material, including more than one hundred magazine articles and dozens of children’s devotionals and curriculum.
In 2017, I co-authored my first book, When’s It My Turn? A Collection of Short Stories and Temper Tantrums, about the struggles and strives of motherhood.
Personal Life
Living on the Gulf Coast, I love anything Floridian: sunshine, beaches, white sand, flip flops, and umbrella drinks. I also adore my family: my husband (my high school sweetheart) and my two adorable girls. The four of us live on our own slice of heaven and herd goats and chickens, wrangle rattlesnakes, and keep an eye out for panthers and bobcats.
Most of all, I love God and telling others about Him!
